I recently found a short film my parents took at the Rose Parade in 1968 of our band. I had my son post it on UTUBE. If you are interested you can locate it by 1968 Tournament of Roses Parade Hilltop High School...at least I think that is how to do it. It is only a  minute but shows how great we were....if you can get over the blond head in the way.

I am so glad I attended the reunion with my husband.  It was well worth the trip back to San Diego and memory lane.  Thanks to the committee for a wonderful job and to everyone who made my husband feel welcome in the midst of strangers.

What a great 40th! I actually remembered quite a few classmates, once I got in the groove, and it was wonderful to see and visit with everyone,  So many crazy, funny stories! I have received a lot of nice emails and just want to tell the committee again, what a "bitchen" job they did! And the photos are so much fun. Take care, and I look forward to our next shindig!

Congratulations to Gracia and the rest of the reunion committee for a great time.  The mixer was so much fun and the reunion was great.  Both my wife, Tamara, and I had a wonderful time.  The atmosphere, food, and friends (both old and new) couldn't be beat. It was so good seeing those I hadn't sen for so many years and for those of you that met my wife, thank you for so warmly welcoming her into our family.  She really did enjoy herself.
Looking forward to the 45th, but, hey, let's try to stay in touch.
Thank You Again,

Hey Everyone!
Awesome is the only word that comes to mind, this morning, when speaking of the mixer last night.
It was so great to see everyone.
The Rosebank Elem. crowd was well represented for sure. It has been way more than 40 years for us, has it not?
Looking forward to more great times, tonight. It will great to see even more of the Hilltop crowd.
See you tonight.

...kind of like starting the reading list for a college course the day before the mid-term-here's a (long) thumbnail...the day before the 'event'.
...when I leave the present moment-where I usually choose to reside-and think about the past, I always realize how wonderful lmy life has been...and continues to be.
...soon after leaving Hilltop and achieving my '15 minutes of fame (as Andy Warhol called it), I sufficiently recovered from my personal 'child star syndrome' and was blessed with a path of mostly mundane accomplishment, save for the female angels in my life...which is where it really shined.
...Anne eleanor O'Sullivan Tschogl...my incredible Mom, who passed in '92...gave me 4 great sisters...Carole Lee, Jacquelyn Lou, Judith Lyn, and Cynthia Laurel...who not only taught me manners (i.e.toilet seat down) but we are very close today.
...Pamela Tipton, my h.s.sweetheart, who like us all, had her own challenges to work out...gave me two awesome daughters...Cory Danell (the traveler), who lives in S.F. and teaches mobility to the vision impaired...and
...Jill Nicole,(the double-blackberry girl) who lives in New York and assists her best friend as the director of "urban music" for universal records (yes, she obviously rebelled against all my classic rock and roll, jazz, and country (in favor of hip-hop...poor girl)
...my Christmas gift in '92 was Rebecca Myrlene Anderson Blair (aka Becky Blair)...and although we parted ways in '97 there was enough there to grow on (along with 10 years of mutual personal growth) that we are together again today.(she's at her annual birthday weekend with three cousins-that-are-as-sisters, and can't make it with me)
...In '98 I met Maya Linda Delphine Valenzuela through the S.D. Reader dating ads...my holistic hippie-girl massage therapist...and we married 2 weeks after our first date.  We succeeded in cramming a lifetime of Love, Laughter, Travel, Camping and Criuses into 9 years of marriage.  It lasted only 9 years because that's when the brain tumor showed up...she passed 9 weeks later...and I began following a trail of spiritual bread crumbs she left for me...a trail which synchronistically led me all the way back around to Becky...and now, between our relationship...taking care of the 94 year old 'Pop' Tschogl, seeing Cory and Jill twice a year...getting back in the waves after 20 years...and a shop-full of kayaks to try just a stones throw from our reunion site...life is vry full, and very good.
...anticipating great energy, stories, and hugs.

Wow!!!!  Like everyone else, I can't believe it's been 40 years. We all have lived so much life in that time, and, it feels like yesterday. I just returned recently from Vegas's (I'm so not a Vegas type) Cirque De Soleil," Beatles  Love". I'll tell ya, it definately took me right back. Fabulous!
We live in Alpine and  I have been happily married for 18 years, a mother of a 30 year old, grandmother of 5. My daughter has a  10, 7, and 2 year old. My husband 's daughter has a 7 and 5 year old. Jessie, my daughter and her family live her in Alpine too. So I get to spent lots time with the babes. I love being a grandma.
I have an Acupuncture and Herbal practice in Alpine, and in my spare time I'm either in the garden or in the  pottery studio. Still into the pot, just changed in form. Lovin life and can't wait to see everyone. See ya soon.

I just can't believe it has been 40 years! Time really flies. I went to college and got a degree in Computer Science. I have worked for the DOD either as a programmer or systems engineer for almost 40 of those years. Got married, have two children. I moved to China Lake where I lived for 13 years. Got a divorce and moved back to San Diego. Remarried just last year in the same room that our reunion is going to be in so it will bring back many happy memories for me!

Thanks to Cathy Williams Long for letting me know about this shindig and thanks to everyone who has worked hard at organizing this event.  I am very excited about seeing everyone again since its been 40 years since I've seen any of you.  My husband and I live in the bay area for the past 20 years and rarely get back to San Diego, so this will be great fun.  And yes, Jennifer Harris, we may need a portable defibrulator set up for emergencies.

I really appreciate all the work the committee has done to prepare for this event and am impressed with the website quality.  Basically, I have been a public school teacher for 30 years and am active in my community:  Temecula!
Looking forward to seeing all of you.  Hilltop High in the 60's  was a great place to grow up; I am grateful for the staff and Chula Vista.........lots of wonderful memories.

Hi All,
40 years!  Really?  I know this reunion will be a blast.  I've not been able to attend any of the reunions and was hoping to make this one, but our 'family reunion' is that same weekend.  My husband, Dean, and I will celebrate our 28th anniversary on July 4.  We have 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and a cat with an attitude.  If any of you are ever in the Dallas area I would love to hear from you.  I have really enjoyed reading all of the postings, and absolutely love seeing the NOW and THEN pictures.  Have a wonderful weekend celebrating renewed friendships and making new memories.

High school days...the good'ol days.  So sad to read the list of deceased classmates.  Forty years, can it be true?  Nah, I don't feel that old!  I visit Chula Vista about once a year to visit my relatives, especially my feisty 92 yr old mother. I prefer to live in the rolling Sierra Nevada foothills in Placerville, CA (between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe) "God's country".  I'm just a country girl at heart and have been here for 35 years with my family, active in my church and am employed with El Dorado County.

Hey to all!!!
I haven't been able to attend any of the other reunions but here's hoping and Lord willing we are beginning the planning process to make the trek.

Arkansas is a fer piece as I'm sure there are places much further, but there is no better time than the present to make plans.

Looking forward to talking about the olden days and seeing all those who are just getting better.
Thanks Gail Short for forwarding the info.

Just made plans to get out to San Diego to attend the reunion and spend some good vacation time with family.  While checking the site here to see who all had registered, I'm watching the begining of 2001: A Space Oddyssy, also celebrating its 40th.  I guess I should put on a Beatles CD to make it a complete nostalgia evening.  I hope everybody can make it to the reunion, it will be fun to catch up.

Hello everyone.  Sorry I missed the 30th but I'll try to be at the 40th.  I live so very far away...Bonita.  I enjoyed high school so much, I decided to do another 20+ years, teaching at Castle Park, Bonita Vista, and now at Chula Vista.  I'm still root for the Lancers but don't tell my students, they think I'm a Spartan.  Look foward to seeing you.  I'll be the old looking grey haired guy.
