Classmates

Come join us and let everyone know "what's been going on with you".    In addition to helping us stay in touch with you, you will be helping us build a directory of the class from the information you provide, so we can keep everyone up to date with plans for the 45th.  You need to provide a username and password so that you can edit your information later if you choose to.  Fill in as much additional information as you are comfortable giving....we hope you will all give us an up-to-date address, phone number and email address (isn't email wonderful...think of how much easier all of this would have been for the 10th and the 20th!!!!  Course we were young and energetic back then.)  AND maybe a recent photo along with a bit of news about you.  If you don't have a picture handy right now....you can add it later.  If you don't have a "then" photo don't worry about it...it will magically appear in a couple of days.  Thank you for joining in the fun of remembering.

Comment: Wow 5 decades!!!!..Well most of late 60's and 70's is a lost memory. I moved to Boise Idaho in 1971 and have never left. Three boys with my first wife (Georgia Alvarez) Bonita 1969.After my divorce I bought five acres and became a cowboy/farmer for a period of time. I disovered being a cowboy is too dangerous so I dumped the horses but kept the five acres. I remarried 12 years ago to my current wife who is from Yichang China. I worked in commercial construction for many years and then for United Airlines for 26 years before retiring in 2012.Remember your bag is not lost only delayed!!! Working at United has given me the opportunity to travel all over the world so if anybody at the reunion has been to Easter Island I would love to chat. For the past 10 years I have been selling medicare health insurance which suplements my minimal pension from UAL. The last reunion I atteneded was the 20th so looking forward to talking to folks I haven't seen for 30 years.

Right after we graduated, I studied at UCLA.  Somewhere in the middle of those next 17 years, I married, had two kids, and picked up 3 degrees.  I roughly spent the first third of my life in Chula Vista, the second third in Los Angeles, and now for the last third I've lived in Irvine (Orange County).

I've been happily single for the past eight years and enjoy my kids and one grandson.  My dad and sister still live in Southern California so we have frequent family gatherings.

My career has been in computers my whole life and that has led me to design systems architecture, software and hardware for radar systems, intercontinental ballistic missile guidance systems, space electronics, intelligent transportation systems, personalized traveler information systems, and, most recently, lane departure warning systems (Infiniti cars). A mix of defense and commercial applications - it's been a very challenging and exciting career.

I enjoy traveling to Puerto Vallarta with a gal friend and enjoying the beautiful Bay of Banderas - fun to practice my Spanish with the locals.  I love to cook, drink wine, and smoke a cigar now and then.  I make a lethal vodka martini.

I have enjoyed every one of our class reunions and I am sure this will be a hoot!  Looking forward to seeing all of you and catching up again.

Gary Jasinek

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Newspaper editor
Comment: Washington has been home for the last 20 years, first in Tacoma and now in Wenatchee, both because that's where the newspaper jobs were. Nice to settle a little after 15 years as a newspaper gypsy in California, Iowa, New Mexico (beautiful state, that).  Daughter Andrea, despite my admonitions, is a newspaperwoman, designing Page 1 for the St. Louis Post Dispatch. Her younger brother, Adam, may be out of the house some month soon.
I've been married the whole time, to the same person, even. Carole. We live in the mountains outside of Wenatchee, four miles from the local ski resort. I use it a lot. Other interests: motorcycling (dual sport), hiking, bicycling (road, mostly), snowshoeing, some golf. There you go. Forty years in 140 words. That's about right.

Comment: I always look forward to reunions and seeing old friends...Cathy, Jeff, you should be a comedy team.  I got married 33 years ago (he went to Sweetwater) and we have one daughter Katie. She graduated from Pete's old school, UCSB and works in La Jolla for a law firm. I've traveled a little, nothing exotic unless you count the week Beth and I spent in New Orleans with Jeff Smith.  Life has been good.  Took me a while to get there but I'm happy and grateful to be healthy and in a place where going to my 40th high school reunion makes we want to laugh and dance...well, maybe not the dance part.
Jeff, don't you dare put my fat pictures up.

John Krzywicki

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Reired
Comment: I retired in 2015 after 38 years as a management consultant.  I now golf regularly, often with my wife of 17 years, Mary Briggs, who just took up the sport two years ago, and soon will be beating me.  I became an avid cook at 19, and still am.  For the choir director of our church and his bride, I essentially catered the wedding party of 85 guests, doing over half the work myself.  A one and done experience, but it was great to pull it off.  My third hobby is Early Music (Bach and before).  I play recorder passably, but my wife plays recorder, Baroque flute and sings beuatrifully. Collectively, we are on the Boards of five Early Music organizations in Boston, most notably The Boston Early Music Festival.  BEMF, among other things, has produced recordings of seldom performed operas from 1750 adn before, and five of those recordings have been Grammy Award nominated, and one recording won Best Opera recording of the year.

My older son and his wife live in Palo Alto, and on 8/16/16 they gave us our first grandchildren, identical twin girls, Irene and Vivian.  John works for a gene testing startup, In Vitae, and his wife works for an obscure company called Facebook (she has been there five years which makes her very senior).

My younger son is also married, but no children yet.  He works for the US Department of Justice, as an attorney in the enformcement secion of the Environmental Division, and yes he is busy prosecuting polluters.  His wife works for a consulting firm that does Web site design.
